Mounted underneath a pickup truck or higher SUV. Your vehicle's factory OEM seats are NOT affected at all! When using the Stow-Away, not only do the factory seats retain all their power and manual features - forward and aft movement, recline back/forward, heat, and side air bag system - but the second row seating area is completely free of obstructions so you can load your family, your wheelchair, or whatever you want in the back seat as usual.
Located in a sealed container, normally affixed to running board mounts, the Stow Away is activated by a single button. The seat "drawer" opens and the seat raises out of the container to the desired height for a tranfer from a wheelchair to the Stow Away seat. Once on, the user than continues up to the seat height of the vehcile (driver or passenger side) and slides onto the vehicle seat. |
